Remove all previous coatings by sanding or stripping with CDKP 90.
Some untreated softwoods may need to be treated with the preservative TMU 84 to protect against possible fungal attack or blue stain. Naturally durable and heat treated woods do not need a preservative treatment.
Do not dilute XYLIN.
Application
Mix thoroughly before and periodically during application.
Apply a liberal application of XYLIN working in direction of grain and working an area that you can complete in 20 min.
Apply 2nd application as soon as wet look of 1st application has disappeared and allow to penetrate (15-20 minutes).
Brush out any excess that has not penetrated, to areas where product has penetrated, in order to avoid drips, runs and XYLIN drying as shiny spots on the surface. XYLIN place is in the wood, not on the surface.
After spray application, always back-brush or back-roll to improve penetration, coverage and uniformity of finish.
Do not allow XYLIN to become Touch Dry or Dry between applications.
